As we all know, Christmas is the time for sharing and caring. The wonderful parties, attractive decorations and beautiful gifts are only the fun side of Christmas. What really has meaning during Christmas is the importance of sharing with those less fortunate than we are. As on every year, this year too our Yellow Santa, Fr. Magi Murzello, went a visiting. This time the visit was to Shelter Don Bosco, a Centre for street children, run by the Salesian priests from Don Bosco, Matunga.
We were welcomed by Fr. Jesu and Fr.. Roshan to light refreshments. The children from the Shelter entertained us to a welcome song and said a thanksgiving prayer too.Fr. Magi Murzello entertained the boys with his trademark ‘claps’ that kept the little boys entertained and happy. Fr. Magi explained to them what the Yellow Santa Project is all about.
The food grains, toiletries, sweets and chocolates given generously by our students from the Kindergarten section were handed over to the children from Shelter Don Bosco. Our children in their own special way, brought smiles and hope in the lives of these little children for whom luxury is only a distant dream. You my dear parents, have indeed set a fine example to your children of the need to share with others. We bless and thank you all ! generosity.
