“Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad”
To highlight the importance of having fruits and how it helps us in keeping good health, children of the Andrean Child Centre had a ‘Fruit Chaat Day’ with a variety of fresh, juicy and tasty fruits that pampered their taste buds reaping a ton of benefits. A ray of hope for the reluctant fruit eaters was a watermelon juice.
Soon followed a Veggie day. We all know that most children don’t like vegetables so our teachers encouraged eating them in innovative ways and children enjoyed them as ‘Pizza Toppings’ as well as in ‘Noodles’. They also delved into a healthy ‘Corn Chaat’. Some of them were encouraged to prepare their own ‘Veggie Sandwich’ as their teacher demonstrated how to prepare it.
In this way the children of the Andrean Child Centre learnt to eat healthy for a healthy living.
